This was the second painting I created after standing in my garden under the moonlight. It began as a free, abstract play of colour, and slowly revealed itself as the leaves and forms of the bush. I love the vibrant, spontaneous energy that emerges through this technique — a kind of looseness that lets the painting find its own way.
For me, it speaks to the truth that there is far more in the darkness than we often realise. The night is full of life, richness, and colour; it’s our perception that closes down. When we soften our gaze, we discover that even in the dark, the world is quietly glowing.
